Class
It's been a busy week for me. Projects, assignments, tests. Quite... annoying haha. But, by the Grace of God, i managed to finish all of them within the alloted time. Yay! School's been quite good this first few weeks. I've been on top of the hw and tests. Well most of the time at least! There's only one "problem" i have is kinda stupid.
You see, here in Canada and the US, you choose the subs u want to take, and get points for completing a subject. Some take half a year, and some take one year. Well in grade 11 and 12(jc1 and 2), you have to accumulate a certain number of points i suddenly cant recall how much, but yeah accumulate a certain number of points to graduate. So now i'm taking mainly grade 11 courses. However, because O level covers most of what i learn in grade 11, i should be able to go to grade 12 sub courses. Right? Wrong! I'm stuck in grade 11 subject courses coz they think that i would not be able to cope! So i go, fine... i'll show them. Haha. So now i'm on a mission to get full marks for the subs which kinda overlap with my O levels. Namely, math and chinese! Yes. CHINESE. HUA WEN. I mean, Hua Yu(??). Anyway, chinese is so easy here. It's like.. primary one. Seriously! Okay, class goes something like this.
Li Lao Shi: (In broken english) Okay class, open your book to page 54. Now read number One.
(5 minutes pass, with no one reading anything, but instead play tetris on our programmable calculators)
Li Lao Shi: (again in broken english) (in a chinese class!) (!!!!) Okay. Nathan! Please read the text.
Nathan: (in broken chinese) [Sorry nathan!] Xiao3 Ming2 Jing1 Nian2 Shi2 Yi1 Sui4, Shang4 Wu3 Nian2 Ji2. Ta Xi Huan Ti Zhu Qiu.
Li Lao Shi: ( " ) Very good, very good.
Me,Adrian,Simon
[the guys who are also from acsi and came at the same time]:Oh Man.... *slaps head and faints*
Yes thats how it goes. In math class, it's pretty much the same. OH wait before that, i got 84% for my first chinese test i never studied for. Yay! Okay, yes math. They are teaching sec 3 stuff now in grade 11 mathematics. I'm like sitting there, and crying. Okay no really, but i know everything the teacher is talking about, so i sit there and answer all the questions she throws at us. So everyone in class turns back and stares at me in awe. Heh.. But seriously, it's really... sapping me. I feel like Matilda. U read the book by Roald Dahl? Where the girl is so much smarter than her class, and builds up energy in her head cos she can't use it in class. She then learns to channel her energy through her eyes to move stuff around. Yes, i'm starting to feel like her. Oh oh, the heat in my eyes, i can feel it! whoa, what happened to my screen?! It Cracked!
Anyway, yes i have alot more to blog about, but (ugh) i need to go. Until next time!
Jeremiah 1:18-19, " For behold, I have made you this day a fortified city and an iron pillar, And bronze walls against the whole land- Against the kings of Judah, Against its princes, Against its priests, And against the people of the land. They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you," says the Lord ," to deliver you."
